Comment: The following are the Doppler criteria that areroutinely used for
interpretation: Normal Peak SystolicVelocity(PSV)< 180 cm/sec Renal-Aortic Ratio (RAR)<
3.5End-Diastolic Ratio (EDR)>2.0 Abnormal PSV> 180 cm/sec andRAR >3.5
indicates>60% diameter-reducing stenosis PSV> 180cm/sec and RAR<3.5 indicates
<60% diameter-reducing stenosisEDR<0.2 indicates intrinsic renal disease No flow
Description: The Color Doppler US study reveals two right renalarteries (the lower
of which is a polar vessel) which is a variantof the normal. The B mode findings were
unremarkeable. All theDoppler criteria were strictly normal. The longitudinal scanperfectly
displays the 2 renal arteries on the right and the leftrenal artery.
