Clinical Presentation: Acute scrotal pain.
Comment: Orchitis can often be associated with epididymitis(20%). The testicle
may be hypoechoic and is often enlarged. CDFIshows regional or global hypervascularity.
If left untreatedorchitis may be complicated by focal infarction.
Description: High resolution sonography shows that the righttesticle is increased
in volume but it's echostructure is normalsave for a small isolated calcification (probably a
sequela).Doppler reveals hypervascularity of the parenchyma. Althoughreactive hydrocele
is present, the epididymis isunremarkeable.
