Clinical Presentation: Patient with Cobbíssyndrome
Comment: Cobb syndrome (cutaneomeningospinal angiomatosis): Cobbsyndrome
is a malfomation associating spinal angiomas and acutaneous angiomas such as nevus
flammeus or angiokeratoma of thecorresponding dermatome. Often vascular anomalies
such as renalaneurysms can be encountered.
Description: Sonography of the right kidney displays multiplecystic lesions within
the hilum and at the corticomedullaryjunction. The differential diagnosis includes cysts,
abscess ornecrotic tumor. Color Doppler US confirms the vascular nature byrevealing
turbulent arterial flow and a ìying-yangî appearance(blue/red coded flow) within these
aneurysms. DSA corroborate theColor Doppler US findings by showing multiple hilar and
interlobarrenal artery aneurysms. MR demonstrates a flow void within theseaneurysms.
