Clinical Presentation: Asymptomatic patient.
Comment: The position of the right atrium defines the situs: itis on the same side
as the liver and on the opposite side to thestomach, which are both much easier to identify
on a chest X-raythan the right atrium. In situs inversus, the liver and the rightatrium are
located on the left side and the stomach on the rightside.
Description: The frontal chest X-ray shows situs inversus with aright aortic arch
and the cardiac apex on the right. The stomach ison the right and the liver on the left.
