Clinical Presentation: Painless mass in thescrotum
Comment: The workup of a patient with testicular cancer consistsof a chest X-ray
(or CT) to exclude lung metastasis, and abdominalCT for lymph node staging. Lymph Node
dissemination is primarilythrough iliac and retroperitoneal route. CT can also
demonstrateureteral obstruction from Lymph Node.
Description: The Color Doppler US reveals a huge testicle whoseparenchyma is
replaced by a heterogeneous tumoral mass thatdisplays increased vascular flow. The CT
study shows voluminousretroperitoneal ganglion metastasis and dilatation of the
urinarytract on the left. Surgery demonstrated a choriocarcinoma. Surgicaldebulking of the
retroperitoneal lesions combined with chemotherapywere performed. The patient is in
remission 1 year aftertreatment.
